Thom Allen, Technology Leader and Founder of PressDev, started the company several years ago. The name, which was very narrowly focused at fist, came to mind at a TweetUp in Salt Lake City, Utah. We are still doing the same type of work, but the business needed an interesting name, instead of the lame one we started with. PressDev is more than WordPress/BuddyPress development. The company has moved into mobile, web, and desktop application development.
